On the outbreak of the Great War he enlisted in the 20th.
Royal Fusiliers (Public Schools Battalion) and was commissioned 1st January
1915, in the Royal West Kent Regiment. He never married.
13th November 1916, Probate - Geoffrey Blackwood Hallowes, of 91 Onslow Gardens, South Kensington, Middlesex. Second Lieutenant West Kent Regiment died 3rd September 1916, in France. Administration London 13th November to Edward Price Blackwood, wine merchant. Effects £37 14s 3d.
Buried at Guillemont Road Cemetery, III. F. 6., Guillemont, France.
