Second Lieutenant John Prince COTTRELL, 1st  Battalion,  Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, attached  7th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers, died of wounds, France, 24th August 1918, age 22.

1895, born Folkestone, Kent, son of Benjamin and Alice Cottrell, of "Glendale," Church Road, Lyminge, Kent. 

12th April 1919, Probate - Cottrell John Prince of Glendale, Lyminge, Kent, Second Lieutenant, 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment, died 24th August 1918 in France. Administration (with will), London 12th April to Alice Cottrell, (wife of Benjamin Cottrell). Effects £123 8s 3d.

Buried at  Bagneux British Cemetery, V. A. 37., Gezaincourt, Somme, France.  Commemorated Folkestone War Memorial.
