Lance Corporal George GORE, G/4129, 7th Battalion,  Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, killed in action, on the Somme, Flanders France,  Friday 23rd February 1917, age 21.

27th August 1896, born Hythe, Kent / Hothfield, Ashford, Kent, twin Son of John Gore and Sarah Ann Gore, (daughter of Stephen & Harriett Burton), of Brook Gates, Egerton, Ashford, Kent.

August 1914, enlisted  Maidstone, Kent.  Resided Egerton, Kent. Formerly agricultural labourer.

17th September 1915, posted BEF.

Buried at  Regina Trench Cemetery, VII. D. 3., Grandcourt, France.
