Lance Corporal Jacob Bunce VIVASH, G/4145, 6th Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, killed in action, Flanders France, 26th February 1916.

Born Swindon, Wiltshire, son of Jacob Turner & Alethea Vivash.

2nd October 1881, St Mark, Swindon, Wiltshire, baptism of Jacob Bunce Vivash, son of Jacob Turner & Alethea Vivash.

31st July 1911, Register Office, Wandsworth, married Edith Strickland, spinster.

Children - Reginald Jacob Vivash, born 4th April 1915, Bromley, Kent.

Previously served for 2 years with 2nd Volunteer Battalion South Middlesex, time expired.

Enlisted Bromley, Kent, age 33 years, height 5ft 10 inches, weight 147lbs, blue eyes, brown hair, scar nose, yellow stains in various parts of the body, scar rear. Resided Bickley, Kent. Formerly schoolmaster.

Home 4th September 1914 to 31st May 1915; BEF 1st June 1915 to 26th February 1916.

4th May 1916, Probate - Jacob Bunce Vivash, of Himalaya, Clarence Road, Bickley, Kent, Sergeant 6th Royal West Kent Regiment, died 26th February 1916, in France. Administration London, 4th May to Edith Vivash, widow. Effects £162 18s 9d.

25th September 1916, pension of 15/- a week awarded to widow & one child.
