Lieutenant Napier Guy Sheppey  SHEPPEY-GREENE, 3rd Battalion, attached 7th Battalion, Queen's Own  Royal West Kent Regiment, died of wounds,  14th June 1918, aged 34.

28th October 1883, born Paddington, London, elder son of Lt Colonel William & Helen Maria. Sheppey-Greene, of 146, Elgin Avenue, Maida Hill, London.

28th November 1883, St Saviour, St Georges Square, Pimlico, London, baptism of Napier Guy Sheppey Sheppey-Green, son of William, (Chaplain 19 Hussars) & Helen Maria. Sheppey-Greene, 38 Denbigh Street.

Educated Eastbourne College, Sussex, 1896-1897, and was afterwards an Exhibitioner of Worcester College, Oxford, After taking his Degree in 1906 he spent a year at Lincoln Clergy School and was ordained in 1907. He was Curate successively at St Chad's, Haggerston, St Cyprian's, Dorset Square & St Thomas, Clapton.

Sheppey-Greene, wife, age 54, married 28 years, 2 children, both still alive, born Burpham, Sussex; Napier Guy Sheppey-Greene, son, age 27, single, Clergyman, Established Church, born Pimlico, London; Ralph Frederick Sheppey-Greene, son, age 24, single, Clergyman, Established Church, born Brighton, Sussex; Emma Marie Louise Hawsen, servant, age 32, single, home parlour maid domestic, born Basle, Switzerland, Swiss; Lily Morris, servant, age 22, single, cook domestic, born Kings Cross, London.


1914, joined the Army as a Combatant, and obtained a commission in the Royal West Kent Regiment, and went to France.

11th November 1918, Probate, Napier Guy Sheppey Greene, 146, Elgin Avenue, Middlesex, Lieutenant West Kent Regiment died 14th June 1918, in France. Administration London 11th November to William Sheppey Greene, Colonel H.M. Army. Effects £195 18s 5d.

Buried at Pernois British Cemetery, Halloy-Les-Pernois , II. B. 6. Somme, France.
