Previously served Royal West Kent Militia, No.3073. Lance Corporal, time expired 2nd December 1906.

Enlisted Chelsea Town Hall, SW, age 31, height 5 ft 4½ inches, weight 145 lbs.  Resided 8 Gilray Square, Chelsea. Formerly coach painter.

5th December 1914, enlisted; 12th March 1915, posted BEF.

13th December 1915, pension of 24/6 a week awarded for widow and five children.

Commemorated at Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Panel 45 and 47, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.
