8th September 1914, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 12th September 1914, posted 8th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 26th March 1915, Worthing, absent from billet 9.40pm until arrested by Civil Police at 1.15am at Dorking on 27th, deprived one days pay, forfeits one days pay; 14th April 1915, Redhill, absenting himself from digging area without permission, 7 days confined to Barracks; 9th May 1915, Shoreham, absent from Tattoo until found in bed on 10th, 2 days confined to Barracks, forfeits one days pay; 4th June 1915, absent from Tattoo until 3pm on 9th, deprived 6 days pay, 21 days confined to Barracks, forfeits 6 days pay; 26th September 1915, posted missing.
