Born Hammersmith, Middlesex.

29th November 1913, Chiswick Parish Church, married Lily May Norcott, spinster.

Enlisted Ealing, Middlesex, age 26 years & 11 months, height 5ft 5½ inches, weight 110lbs,  vaccination marks, 4 left teeth defective. Resided 219 Uxbridge Road, West Ealing, London W. Formerly moulder in lead.

Home 12th December 1915 to 3rd October 1916; BEF 4th October 1916 to 7th June 1917.

Separation Allowance of 12/6 a week & Allotment of pay of 3/6 a week paid to wife.

12th December 1915, enlisted; 13th December 1915, to Army Reserve; 22nd June 1916, mobilized & posted Depot, Royal Fusiliers, Service No.38186; 23rd June 1916, posted 5th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers; 4th October 1916, posted 11th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers & BEF & embarked; 5th October 1916, disembarked; 5th October 1916, 39 Infantry Base Depot, Etaples; 14th October 1916, transferred to "A" Company, 10th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment.

7th January 1918, pension of 13/9 a week awarded to widow.

Commemorated at Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Panel 45 & 47, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.
