12th September 1914, enlisted & posted 7th Battalion, Territorial Force, Royal Welsh Fusiliers, Service No.117; 19th June 1915, posted 47 Provisional Battalion; 28th October 1915 to 30th October 1915, 4th Provisional Field Ambulance, Norwich, influenza;  12th April 1916, Mundesley, Norfolk, discharged  (under the provisions of the Military Service Act 1916), age 22 years & 2 months, height 5ft 7 inches, dark complexion, eyes light brown, hair dark brown.  Formerly compositor.
