Enlisted Tunbridge Wells, Kent / Chichester, Sussex, age 27 years, & 237 days, height 5ft 7 inches, weight 155lbs, teeth defective.  Resided Tattenally, Withyham, Sussex. Formerly cowman.

Home 15th February 1916 to 12th September 1916; BEF 13th September 1916 to 3rd May 1917.

15th February 1916, enlisted; 16th February 1916, to Army Reserve; 26th April 1916, mobilized at Chichester; 28th April 1916, posted 12th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 1st September 1916, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 13th September 1916, posted BEF; 13th September 1916, embarked; 29th September 1916, joined 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 3rd May 1917, posted missing.

7th January 1918, widow awarded a pension of 13/9 a week.
