Enlisted 7th April 1915, & posted Depot,  Royal West Kent Regiment; 14th April 1915, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 21st May 1915, Chatham, absent from 9.30pm until Reveille 26th inst, 7 days confined to Barracks, forfeits6 days pay; 29th September 1915, posted Indian Expeditionary Force "D", & 2nd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 15th October 1915, Salonika, attached 7th Battalion, Royal Dublin Fusiliers; 3rd August 1916, Balkans, admitted to Hospital with malaria;  29th September 1916, rejoined Battalion.

29th April 1917, date to which allowance will be paid, Separation Allowance 34/- a week & allotment of pay of 3/6 a week.

30th April 1917, pension of 31/3 a week awarded for widow and five children.
