20th May 1896, Greenwich Emmanuel Mission Church, baptism of Frederick Charles Dowdall, son of Alfred, (painter),  & Elizabeth Dowdall, 33 Cold Bath Street.

Enlisted Lewisham, Kent, age 17 years & 3 months, height 5ft 6 inches. Resided 33 Cold Bath Street, Lewisham, Kent. Formerly smiths mate, employed by G H Harvey, Thames Street, Greenwich, SE.

17th July 1913, Lewisham, Kent, enlisted into  RH &  (4th London, Howitzer Brigade), RFA, Service No.783, as Gunner; 27th April 1914, enlisted into Royal West Kent Regiment; 17th March 1915, wounded.
