9th September 1914, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 26th September 1914, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 24th October 1914, posted 9th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 26th February 1915, Chatham, not complying with an order, 4 days confined to Barracks1st April 1915, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 19th June 1915, Fort Darland, absent from 2.00pm until Tattoo 21st June 1915, 3 days Field Punishment, forfeits 3 days pay; 22nd June 1915, posted BEF.

7th December 1915, Report on Accidental or Self Inflicted Wounds - Location , Nature & Severity of Wounds, left thigh, small incised wound, slight & severity of wounds; this man was ??? 10 yards ???? and another man throwing and should have kept under cover ????? haystack and was struck together with another man by fragments ????? loded bomb 2nd Lt Dove was present ????? the accident; Whether the man is considered to blame - not keeping under cover; this man has been dealt with for carelessness.

Buried at Bethune Town Cemetery, V. B. 29., Pas de Calais, France.
