15th January 1916, enlisted; 16th January 1916, to Army Reserve; 25th October 1916, mobilized; 27th October 1916, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 6th January 1917, posted BEF; 19th February 1917, posted 10th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 31st May 1917, wounded, gun shot wound left arm; 11th August 1917, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 9th January 1918, Queen Alexandra Military Hospital Millbank, discharge approved.
30th January 1918, discharged as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds. Silver War Badge issued
Pension, 27/6 a week for 4 weeks from 31st January 1918 to 5th March 1918, then 13/9 a week to be reviewed in 48 weeks. Disability gun shot wound left thigh , extensive scarring implicating ??????? nerve which is painful.
