Private Frederick George Elliott PULLING, L/11736 (formerly L/16395, Middlesex Regiment), 3rd Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment.

Born 30th December 1897, St Johns Wood, Middlesex, enlisted into Middlesex Regiment, 5th January 1916, Harlesden, height 5ft 5 inches, weight 125lbs, resided 1 Broomsleigh Street, West Hampstead. Formerly a carpenter.

Son of Lucy Pulling, 9 Broomsleigh Street, West Hampstead, London, N6.

Appointed Lance Corporal 24th July 1917, reverts to Private 9th April 1918. Posted to 3rd Battalion Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, 28th November 1918 and on 6th December 1918 attached to Rest Camp, Folkestone, Kent.

Postings - Home, 5th January 1916 to 5th April 1918; BEF, 6th April 1918 to 12th May 1918; Home, 13th May 1918 to 12th May 1919.

3rd January 1919 - By Licence at Chatham Register Office - Frederick George Elliott Pulling, RWK 30948, age 21, bachelor, married Edith Ann Mercer, age 30, domestic servant,  spinster, address for both given as 248 High Street, Rochester, Kent

He was discharged, aged 21on the 12th May 1919. The reason given for his discharge was SICKNESS (asthma & bronchitis attributed to active service), and had served abroad.

Pension awarded for disablement (40%) of 11/- a week.

In addition to the Silver War badge, he was entitled to the British War and Victory Medals.

April 1921 living at 103 Sumatra Road, West Hampstead, NW6.
