Enlisted Tottenham, N, age 23, height 5ft 4inches, weight 118lbs, scar on chin & right eyebrow. Resided 97 Crowland Road, Tottenham, N. Formerly press maker.

10th December 1915, enlisted; 11th December 1915, to Army Reserve; 6th June 1916, mobilized; 7th June 1916, posted 14th Middlesex Regiment; 1st September 1916, transferred to 24 Training Reserve; 15th September 1916, disembarked France; 30th October 1916, posted "A" Company, 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 5th February 1917, admitted to Hospital, sprained ankle, during physical training, soldier not to blame. Slipped whilst playing football, he was giving the alternative of playing football or going out on a run.
