Enlisted Maidstone,  Kent, age 18, height 5ft 8 inches, weight 135lbs, fresh complexion, grey eyes, light brown hair. Formerly labourer.

Home, 1st February 1915 to 30th September 1915; BEF, 1st October 1915 to  6th April 1916.

1st February 1915, enlisted; 2nd February 1915, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 6th February 1915, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 4th April 1915, Chatham, overstaying his pass from Tattoo till 5.45pm 5th April 1915, 3 days confined to Barracks, forfeits 2 days pay; 1st October 1915, posted BEF & 8th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment.

Buried at Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension, II. D. 214., Nord, France. Commemorated Lenham War Memorial
