15th May 1917, posted 98th Training Reserve Battalion, Aldershot; 26th May 1917, transferred to 102nd Training Reserve Battalion; 3rd October 1917, transferred to 250th Infantry Battalion; 13th November 1917, transferred to 102nd Training Reserve Battalion; 2nd April 1918, transferred to 52nd (Grad) Battalion, Middlesex Regiment (Regulars) & BEF; 4th April 1918, Infantry Base, Etaples; 7th April 1918, transferred to 7th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 24th April 1918, missing in action; 25th April 1918, wounded in action, Amiens, France, gun shot wound, right calf, admitted 47 Casualty Clearing Station; 26th April 1918, Rouen, admitted 2nd USA general hospital; 28th April 1918, to UK, A.T. St Andrew; 29th April 1918, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment & admitted Military Hospital, Berridge Road, Notts; 17th October 1918 to 31st December 1918, 4th London General Hospital, Denmark Hill, SE5, influenza, complains of pain in throat, pains in back and legs, recovered; 2nd January 1919, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment, Maidstone.

17th March 1919, discharged  as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds. Silver War Badge issued

7th April 1919, final gratuity, £27.10.0, gun shot wound right calf & influenza, ichthyosis, pre war, less than 1% disability.
