Born Sevenoaks, Kent, son of Charlotte Green, 15 Golding Road, St Johns, Sevenoaks, Kent / 5, Mount Pleasant, Sevenoaks, Kent. 

Previously served in Royal Fusiliers, time expired.

Enlisted Tonbridge, Kent, age 30 years & 24 days, height 5ft 6½ inches, blue eyes, brown hair. Formerly carman.

9th September 1914 to 6th December 1914; BEF 7th December 1914 to 21st March 1915.

9th September 1914, enlisted; 11th September 1914, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 20th October 1914, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 21st October 1914, Fort Darland, absent from 9.30pm till 6.00pm 26th inst, 14 days confined to Barracks, forfeits 6 days pay; 7th December 1914, posted BEF & 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment.

16th June 1919, Statement of Relatives - Mother, Charlotte Green, 5, Mount Pleasant, Sevenoaks, Kent; Brother - Frank Jeffery Green, age 34, 5, Mount Pleasant, Sevenoaks, Kent; Niece - Doris Hilda Green, age 4, 5, Mount Pleasant, Sevenoaks, Kent; Uncles / Aunts - Henry Green, age 60, 9 Robertson Street, Battersea; Martha Hassel?, age 35, 9 Robertson Street, Battersea.

Commemorated at  Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Panel 45 and 47, Belgium / Sevenoaks War Memorial.

NOTE: Regimental History and Soldiers Died in the Great War show Service No. as S/610;  CWGC web site shows it as S/810
