Formerly served in 3rd Battalion, Special Reserve, Royal West Kent Regiment.

Enlisted Mansion House, London, age 36, height 5ft 2½ inches, weight 8 stone.  Resided 135 Blackfriars Road, SE. Formerly window cleaner.

Home, 29th January 1916 to 9th December 1916; BEF, 10th December 1916 to 30th November  1917.

 29th January 1916, enlisted; 30th January 1916, to Army Reserve; 8th September 1916, mobilized; 8th September 1916, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 13th September 1916, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 10th December 1916, posted BEF & 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 10th December1916, embarked / disembarked; 29th December 1916, joined Battalion In the Field; 30th November 1917, posted missing.

4th August 1918, date when Separation Allowance of 16/- a week payable to wife will cease.

5th August 1918, pension of 13/9 a week awarded to widow.

19th February 1920 remarried at Southwark, now Mrs William C Hall.
