Children - Nellie Elizabeth Sewell, born 16th January 1915, Edgware.

Enlisted Stanmore, Berkshire, age 26 years & 5 months, height 6ft 2 inches, weight 9st 7lbs.  Resided Green Lane, Stanmore, Berkshire. Formerly gardener.

Home 18th November 1915 to 5th September 1916; BEF 6th September 1916 to 7th October 1916.

18th November 1915, enlisted; 19th November 1915, to Army Reserve; 13th April 1916, mobilized; 14th April 1916, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 15th April 1916, posted 12th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment, Service No.13373; 17th May 1916, appointed paid Lance Corporal; 1st September 1916, transferred to 23rd Brigade, 99 Battalion, Training Reserve, Service No. TR/10/40192; 6th September 1916, posted BEF; 6th September 1916, embarked / disembarked; 18th September 1916, joined 11th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment, In the Field.

30th April 1917, pension of 18/9 a week awarded to widow & one child.

1920 December, Hendon Registration District, Ellen L Sewell, married George H Paintain.

Commemorated at  Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Panel 45 and 47, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.
