Born Whitechurch, Shropshire, son of John Albert and Harriet Graham.

August 1906, Ardwick Register Office, Chorlton Registration District, Lancashire, married Prudence Ann Lloyd, spinster, now Griffiths,  (formerly Graham), of 26, Llangollen Terrace, Rhosymedre, Ruabon, Denbighshire.

Children - Prudence Alwen? Elizabeth Graham, born 17th October 1912, ??? Wales; Joan Blodwen Graham, born 6th January 1914, ???? Wales.


1911 Census - 35 Chapel Street, Rhosymedre, Ruabon, Denbighshire - John Albert Graham, head, age 25, married, Colonial Meat Salesman, worker, born Whitechurch, Shropshire; Prudence Ann Graham, wife, age 22, married 4 years, 1 child, died, born Market Drayton, Shropshire.


Enlisted  Oswestry, Shropshire, age 30 years & 5 months, height 5ft 5 inches, weight 110lbs, requires dental treatment. Resided 18 Upper Church Street, Oswestry, Shropshire. Formerly butcher.

Home 12th December 1915 to 11th September 1917; BEF 12th September 1917 to 8th October 1917.

12th December 1915, enlisted & posted Army Reserve; 29th August 1916, mobilized; 1st September 1916, posted 2/1st Reserve Battalion, Herefordshire Regiment, Service No.5519; 19th December 1916, transferred to 2/5th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 12th September 1917, Folkestone; 12th September 1917, Etaples, 40 Infantry Base Depot; 16th September 1917, posted 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 18th September 1917, joined Battalion In the Field; 4th October 1917, wounded in action.

2nd December 1919, Statement of Relatives - Widow, Prudence Ann Graham, 26, Llangollen Terrace, Rhosymedre; Children - Olwen Graham, 17th October 1912, 26, Llangollen Terrace, Rhosymedre; Joan Blodwen Graham, 6th January 1914, 26, Llangollen Terrace, Rhosymedre; John Howard Graham, 5th December 1916, 26, Llangollen Terrace, Rhosymedre.

22nd April 1918, pension of 26/3 awarded to widow & three children.

Buried at  Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, XX. I. 9., Belgium.
