14th September 1911, New Cross, enlisted in 6th Battalion, Rifle Brigade, Special Reserve, Service No. 67, age17, height 5ft 2 inches, weight 110lbs, light hazel eyes, light brown hair. Formerly milkman. Served until 13th January 1912.
Home, 17th January 1912 to 18th December 1913; India, 19th December 1913 to 31st January 1915; Indian Expeditionary Force "D", 1st February 1915 to 31st December 1916.
17th January 1912, Woolwich, Kent, enlisted into Royal West Kent Regiment, age 18, height 5ft 3 inches, weight 120lbs. Formerly milkman (butter lad) for Mr Blunderfield, dairy manager, 30 High Street, Lewisham, Kent.
17th January 1912, enlisted; 2nd March 1912 to 21st March 1912, Dublin, wounded right leg, states it occurred while jumping in gymnasium, abrasion at back of right knee, septic, followed by diffuse dermatitis; 25th March 1912 to 16th May 1912, Dublin, dermatitis; 11th December 1912, not being shaved on ???? picquet, 3 days confined to Barracks; 27th February 1913, Kilbride, talking on parade, 3 days confined to barracks; 30th April 1913, 3rd Class Certificate of Education; 10th May 1913, improper conduct, 7 days confined to Barracks; 19th December 1913, posted to 2nd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 11th January 1914, Multan Station; 8th August 1914, Hyderabad; 19th August 1914, Karachi; 27th July 1915, admitted to Nasiriyah Hospital, PUO; 9th August 1915, discharged from Hospital; 8th to 14th October 1915, admitted to Nasiriyah Hospital with malaria; 2nd to 6th November 1915, admitted to Nasiriyah Hospital with malaria; 22nd December 1915, wounded in action at Kut-Al-Amarah; 29th April 1916, reported Prisoner of War, captured at Kut-Al-Amarah, interred at Baghdad; 5th June 1916, Postcard received by mother, from her son saying he had been captured by the Turk and was in the Red Crescent Hospital, Baghdad; 30th December 1919 - Death presumed between 29th April 1916 and 31st December 1916.
30th March 1920, date to which allowances will be paid, 5/- a week separation allowance, 2/4 a week allotment of pay.
