Enlisted  Abertridwr, Wales, age 36, height 5ft 4 inches, weight 126lbs. Resided 5 Railway Parade, George Street, Pontypool, Monmouth / 112 High Street, Aberycham?, Monmouth.

Home 13th November 1914 to 9th December 1915; Indian Expeditionary Force. 10th December 1915 to 1th March 1916.

13th November 1914, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 25th November 1914, posted 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 1st April 1915, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 15th April 1915 to 22nd April 1915, Military Hospital, Chatham, sprain of right knee; 22nd April 1915 to 9th June 1915, ???glits Place Convalescent Home; 3rd November 1915, Fort Darland, losing his cap badge by neglect, 2 days confined to Barracks; 5th November 1915, Fort Darland, urinating his bedding whilst in billets, 8 days confined to Barracks, pay ½ damage; 10th December 1915, posted Indian Expeditionary Force & 2nd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 10th December 1915, Keyham Dockyard, Devonport, embarked H.T.Kinfauns Castle; 8th January 1916, Ashar, disembarked.

2nd October 1916, pension of 17/6 a week awarded to widow and one child.

Buried at Baghdad (North Gate) War Cemetery, X. J. 10., Iraq.
