Born Chiswick, Middlesex, son of  William Alfred & Harriot Collier, of 21, South Ealing Road, South Ealing, London.

Enlisted Ealing, Middlesex, age 18 years & 8 months, height 5ft 5¼ inches, weight 120lbs. Resided 21, South Ealing Road, South Ealing, London. Formerly pawnbrokers assistant.

9th February 1916, enlisted; 9th October 1916 to 18th October 1916, Eastbourne Military Hospital, influenza; 8th January 1917, embarked / disembarked; 9th February 1917, joined 11th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 7th June 1917, Etaples Hospital, syncope slight; 9th June 1917, transferred to England, Hospital Ship "Newhaven"; 10th June 1917 to 19th July 1917, 1st Southern General Hospital, syncope, fainting attacks, discharged fit, 10 days furlough; 30th July 1917 to 15th October 1917, Eastern Command Depot, Shoreham by Sea, DAH; 16th October 1917, posted 3rd Battalion; 20th November 1917, posted BEF; 28th November 1917, joined Battalion; 12th December 1917, with Battalion to Italy; 8th February 1918, In the Field, not shaved on sick parade, 3 days confined to Barracks; 1st April 1918, returned to France with Battalion; 25th May 1918, 51 Casualty Clearing Station, ICT thumb; 17th June 1918, rejoined Battalion.

Buried at Gouzeaucourt New British Cemetery, V.D.17., Nord, France.
