Private Maurice GIBBINS, G/24555, 6th Battalion,  Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, (formerly 4858, The Buffs), killed in action, Flanders France,  21st September 1918, age 21. 

Born Radway, Warwickshire, son of John and Mary Ann Gibbins, of Radway, Kineton, Warwickshire.


1911 Census - Radway, Kineton, Warwickshire - John Gibbins, head, age 59, married, carpenter & joiner, own account, born Radway, Warwick; Mary Ann Gibbins, wife, age 47,  married 23 years, 7 children, 4 still alive, born Brailes, Warwick; John Gibbins, son, age 21, single, farm labourer, born Radway, Warwick; Philip Gibbins, son, age 15, single, domestic gardener, born Radway, Warwick; Maurice Gibbins, son, age 13, school, born Radway, Warwick.


Enlisted Kineton, Warwickshire.

Buried at  Epehy Wood Farm Cemetery, IV. E. 12., Epehy,  France.

NOTE: Regimental History & Soldiers Died in the Great War show Service No. as G/24555; CWGC web site show it as G/21555.
