15th July 1890, born Darwen, Lancashire, son of James & Jane Conlong.
24th October 1908, Blackburn, Lancashire, married Agnes Wilkinson, of 9, Chapel St., Ulverston, Lancashire.
Children - Annie Conlong, born 31st March 1909; William Conlong, born 7th October 1911.
1911 Census - 12 Double Street, Blackburn, Lancashire- Thomas Conling, head, age, 21, married, boiler fireman, born Blackburn, Lancashire; Agnes Conlong, wife, age 20, married 2 years, 1 child, weaver cotton mill; Annie Mary Conlong, daughter, age 2, born Ulverston, Lancashire.
9th November 1914 to 14th November 1914, served with Royal Garrison Artillery, No.2. Depot, Service No.51373. Discharged at Fort Rowner, Gosport, as not likely to become an efficient soldier. Very defective teeth, upper jaw 3 only, diseased & loose. Lower jaw 9 only severely diseased.
Enlisted Darwen, Lancashire, age 27 years & 6 months, height 5ft 6 ½inches, 140lbs, mole left shoulder, teeth upper set false, fresh complexion, green eyes, fair hair. Resided 13 Brook Street, Blackburn. Formerly engineer, (engine tester).
18th January 1915, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 23rd January 1915, posted 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 1st June 1915, posted BEF; 8th October 1915, posted missing.
Pension awarded 5th June 1916 of 18/6 per week for widow and two children, living at 55 The Ellers, Ulverston, Lancashire
Commemorated at Loos Memorial, Panel 95 to 97, Pas de Calais, France.
