Translation of the inscription by Sylvia, Kent Family History Society member - "Sleep well my love Mother"


Private Vaclar (Vaclav)  BASTECKY, G/27834,   7th  Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment,  (formerly G/44640, Royal Fusiliers), killed in action, Flanders, France, 24th April 1918.

Born Bohemia, Son of Josef and Bozena Bastecky, of Kosorice, Czecho Slovakia.

Enlisted London, WC.  Resided London.

Buried at Hangard  Communal Cemetery Extension, III.E.3., Somme, France.
