Born Belfast, Antrim, Ireland, son of John H Breze.
Previously served Royal Marines Light Infantry, discharged by purchase 27th April 1912.
Enlisted London, Middlesex, age 30, height 5ft 5¾ inches, weight 120lbs, tattoos - butterfly point of each shoulder & several swallows around neck, a peacock ? upper arm, other marks each forearm. Resided 80 Brock Street, Liverpool, Lancashire. Formerly Customs Officer.
20th December 1914, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 1st January 1915, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 17th February 1915, posted 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 28th March 1915 appointed unpaid Lance Corporal; 23rd April 1915, wounded in action.
Commemorated at Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Panel 45 and 47, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.
