3rd November 1914, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 6th November 1914, posted 8th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 18th September 1915, absent from Parade, 10 days Field Punishment No.2; 9th March 1916,15 Casualty Clearing Station, conjunctivitis; 22nd March 1916, from Hospital; 15th July 1916, In the Field, Trial, drunkenness when on active service, guilty, 28 days Field Punishment No.2.; 25th December 1916, wounded; 16th January 1917, to Duty; 9th July 1917, transferred to 224th Divisional Employment Company, Labour Corps, Service No.223122; 25th March 1918, posted missing.

24th November 1918, date when Separation Allowance of 28/- a week payable to wife will cease.

25th November 1918, pension of 29/7 a week awarded to widow & three children.
