Enlisted Bromley, Kent, age 20 years 10 months, height 5ft 11 inches, weight 133lbs, complexion dark, hazel ayes, dark brown hair. Formerly gas fitter.

Home 19th September 1914 to 24th May 1915; BEF 25th May 1915 to 22nd July 1916.

19th September 1914, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 20th October 1914, posted 9th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 2nd January 1915, Chatham, overstaying his pass from 12.00 midnight till 8.00am 4th January, 3 days confined to Barracks, forfeits 2 days pay; 1st April 1915, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 14th May 1915,coming on Parade with a dirty rifle, 7 days confined to Barracks; 25th May 1915, posted BEF; 26th May 1915, 5 Infantry Base Depot; 3rd July 1915, joined Battalion, "A" Company; 20th August 1915, injury to foot; 29th August 1915, rejoined Battalion; 26th September 1915, to Duty; 22nd July 1916, posted missing.

21st June 1919, Statement of Relatives - Mother, Louisa M Brouitt, 35, Larkbere Road, Lower Sydenham, London.

Commemorated at Thiepval Memorial, Pier & Face 11C, Somme, France.
