Born Rochester, Kent, sdn of Albert George Rose, 3 St Peters Street, Rochester, Kent. Four brothers and two sisters.
Enlisted 10th June 1912, Chatham, Kent, age 18, height 5ft 4 inches, weight 109lbs. Formerly general labourer.
Home, 10th June 1912 to 21st October 1913; India, 22nd October 1913 to 31st January 1915; India Expeditionary Force, 1st February 1915 to 28th March 1917.
29th April 1915, reported Prisoner of War, captured at Kut al Amara and interred at Angora; 28th March 1917 - Report from Ottoman Red Crescent through Geneva Red Cross that died whilst a Prisoner of War at Angora.
Buried at Baghdad (North Gate) War Cemetery, Angora Mem. 142., Iraq.
