Son of Harry and Mabel A. E. Boakes, of Fir Tree Cottage, Goathurst Common, Ide Hill, Sevenoaks, Kent.

Commemorated at  Ville-sur-Ancre Communal Cemetery Extension, B.17., Somme, France.
