Born Nutfield, Redhill, Surrey, enlisted Tunbridge Wells, Kent, resided Rusthall, Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

Son of Harriet Bolton, of 32, Gladstone Rd., Rusthall, Tunbridge Wells, and the late John William Bolton.

Commemorated at  Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Panel 45 & 47, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.
