Company Serjeant Major Ernest George RANSOME, L/4921, "B" Company, 1st  Battalion,  Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, killed in action, Flanders France, 22nd July 1916, age 33.

Long Service and Good Conduct Medal. 

Born Ipswich, Suffolk, enlisted Ipswich, Suffolk.

Son of the late Serjt. George Ransome (50th Regt.), and of Annie Ransome; husband of Marjorie Ransome, of 11, Silent St., Ipswich, Suffolk.

Commemorated at Caterpillar Valley Cemetery, IX. H. 10., Longueval, France.
