Lance Corporal Thomas Victor OATES, G/19090, 10th  Battalion,  Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, (formerly 2604, West Kent Yeomanry), killed in action, Flanders France, 7th June 1917, age 31.

Born Cardiff, Wales, enlisted  Croydon, Surrey, resided Norbury, Surrey.

Son of Thomas Arneway Oates and Clara Alice Oates, of London; husband of Clara Pascall (formerly Oates), of Beverley Bungalow, Upper Cumberland Walk, Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

Commemorated at Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Panel 45 and 47, Belgium.
