Born Maidstone, Kent, enlisted  Maidstone, Kent.

Son of Herbert and Amelia Jessie Ovenden, of Cromwell Villas, Sutton at Hone, Dartford, Kent.

Commemorated at Thiepval Memorial, Pier & Face 11C, France.

NOTE; Regimental History & Soldiers Died in the Great War both show lastname as OVENDON;  CWGC web site show it as OVENDEN.
