Born 1st January 1897, Mereworth, Maidstone, Kent, enlisted 13th November 1915, Maidstone, Kent, height 5ft 3¼ inches, weight 112lbs, resided Gallants Lane, East Farleigh, Kent / Chapel Estate, East Farleigh, Kent.  Formerly farm labourer.

Son of Charles & Edith Wallond, Gallants Lane, East Farleigh, Kent.

Home, 13th November 1915 to 15th June 1916; BEF, 16th June 1916 to 18th November 1918; Home, 19th November 1918 to 26th March 1919.

13th November 1915, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 18th November 1915, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 16th June 1916, posted 7th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 19th November 1918, released Prisoner of War, reported by Hospital in France; 19th November 1918, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 1st December 1918, repatriated, arrived in London.

26th March 1919, discharged  as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to sickness Silver War Badge issued.

Pension, 5/6 a week to be reviewed in 52 weeks, conditional.  20% disability (dysentery and debility).

His Majesty the KING has been graciously pleased to approve of the award of the Military Medal for bravery in the Field to the under mentioned Non-Commissioned Officers and Men:
