28th March 1910, Ashford, married Gertrude Elizabeth Richardson, spinster.

Enlisted Maidstone, Kent, age 31, height 5ft 4½ inches, weight 120lbs.  Resided 71 Brewer Street, Maidstone, Kent. Formerly hairdresser.

Home 20th October 1915 to 2nd May 1916; BEF 3rd May 1916 to 15th September 1916.

20th October 1915, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent  Regiment; 20th October 1915, posted 10th Battalion, Royal West Kent  Regiment; 3rd May 1916, Southampton, embarked; 4th May 1916, Havre, disembarked;

19th June 1917, date when Separation Allowance of 21/- a week & Allotment of Pay of 3/6 a week will cease.

21st May 1917, pension of 22/11 a week awarded to widow & two children.

5th July 1917, widow now living at 14 Chapel Place, Union Street, Maidstone, Kent; April 1920, 13 Water Lane, Maidstone, Kent.

Commemorated at Thiepval Memorial, Pier & Face 11C, Somme, France.

His Majesty the KING  has been graciously pleased to award the Military Medal for bravery in the Field to the under mentioned Non-Commissioned Officers and Men:
