Formerly wood chopper.

Previously served in 4th Battalion, East Surrey Regiment, 880, 2nd March 1899 to 26th March 1899.

Son of George & Frances Collins, 15 Orville Street, Battersea, London, Surrey.

Husband of Mary Ann Collins, (nee Cockell), 43 Havelock Terrace, Battersea Park Road, married 4th April 1910, Wandsworth Register Office. Married in the name of George Frederick BOLSTER.

27th March 1899, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 7th July 1899, posted 2nd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 6th November 1902, Cape Town, drunk on Piquet about 8.15pm, 96 hours detention, with hard labour; 26th March 1907, transferred to Reserves; 1st December 1910, re-engaged, to count from 27th March 1911; 5th August 1914, mobilized; 6th August 1914, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 11th September 1914, posted 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 7th December 1914, gun shot wound, hand.

5th July 1915, discharged  as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds. Silver War Badge issued

Re-enlisted at Battersea, age 34, height 5ft 5 inches, weight 142lbs, 43 Havelock Terrace, Battersea, in the name of George Frederick BOLSTER, formerly sheet erector, 23rd August 1916, discharged 11th October 1916, 17315.

4th September 1920, awarded Service Pension of 9d a day  for life from 4th April 1917?. The award is in addition to disability pension.

4th August 1961 - Notification of the Death of a Person, died at Brompton Hospital, Chelsea, on 3rd August 1916, George  BOLSTER, otherwise George Frederick COLLINS, male, 78 years old, of 46 Mendip Crescent, Battersea,  retired builders labourer, carcinoma of oesophagus, informant G F BOLSTER, son, 23 Kent Road, Acton, W4.
