Son of Sarah Williams, 3 Bellevue Terrace, Hendon, Middlesex.

Husband of Mrs Ellen Williams (nee Haynes), 22 Ariel Road, West Hampstead. Married 9th November 1918, Hampstead.

Home, 11th September 1914 to 14th June 1915; BEF, 15th June 1915 to 2nd November 1918; Leave to UK, 3rd to 16th November 1918; BEF, 17th November 1918.

7th November 1914, Chatham, breaking out of Barracks while in segregation and remaining absent till 9.30pm 8th November 1914, deprived of Lance Stripe, forfeits 2 days pay; 25th February 1915, Chatham, inattention on Parade, 3 days confined to Barracks; 27th August 1915, wounded at duty; 18th March 1916, 38 Field Ambulance wounded and gassed; 19th March 1916. 1 Casualty Clearing Station; 26th March 1916, Convalescent Depot; 26th March 1916, 4 General Hospital, effects of Gas; 1st April 1916, rejoined Battalion; 7th October 1916, wounded at Duty; 13th October 1917, attached 37 Trench Mortar Battery; 8th December to 22nd December 1917, leave to England; 13th April 1918, attached 37 Brigade HQ; 3rd November 1918, leave to UK for 14 days; 2nd February 1919, Dieppe, to UK for |Demobilization, proceeded to Wimbledon; 5th March 1919, Transferred to Reserve and Demobilized to 22 Ariel Road, West Hampstead; 31st March 1920, discharged.
