29th January 1919, Statement as to Disability - injury to right knee April 1917 at Duvall, knee weak gives way at times, treated at 30 General Hospital Calais, France & Graylingwell Military Hospital Chichester, Sussex. Injury to both knees, right April 1917, (jumping barbed wire, fell on a tree stump), left, pre war (sprained carrying a weight), some cartilage removed from both knees. Attributable to Service, prevents 30%.
9th March 1919, discharged as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to sickness Silver War Badge issued.
Pension, 8/3 a week for 26 weeks, conditional.
8th September 1919, extension of provisional award , pending verification of injury, increase to 12/- a week. Expires 11th November 1919.
17th January 1920, Pension, 8/- a week to 9th March 1920 then 5/3 a week from 10th March 1920 for 52 weeks, expires 8th March 1921.
