Hospital, gun shot wound, right leg; 14th April 1917 to 10th May 1917, Convalescent Hospital, Epsom; 19th May 1917, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 27th May 1917 to 7th June 1917, awaiting Trial; 8th June 1917 Fort Horsted, absent from Draft Parade, and remaining absent until apprehended by Civil Police, tried by DCM, for whilst on active service, resisting an escort whose duty it was to apprehend  him, sentenced to 28 days detention; 12th July 1917, awarded 28 days detention for absence from draft; 11th August 1917, posted MEF & 2nd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 22nd December to 26th December 1917, awaiting Trial, tried & convicted & sentenced to 13 days Field Punishment No.2. for when on active service disobeying the lawful command of his superior officer; 11th October 1918, falling out without permission & making an improper reply to an NCO, 96 hours Field Punishment No.1.; 14th April 1919, Bombay; 26th April 1919, arrived ex Northbreak Battalion & taken on strength; 9th May 1919, posted 33, Special Services Battalion; 24th June 1919, joined Military Base Depot; 13th July 1919, posted to 1/25 Londons, Burhbans; 14th November 1919, transferred to Army Reserve.

14th November 1919, discharged  as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds Silver War Badge issued.

Pension, 12/- a week for ?? weeks, conditional.
