Home, 30th November 1905 to 30th October 1907; Singapore, 31st October 1907 to 27th November 1908; India, 28th November 1908 to 5th February 1914; Home, 6th February 19147 to 13th August 1914; BEF, 14th August 1914 to 10th July 1915.
30th November 1905, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 28th February 1906, posted Provisional Battalion; 28th December 1906, posted 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 31st October 1907, posted 2nd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 2nd March 1908, passed swimming class of instruction; 8th March 1910, appointed paid Lance Corporal; 20th August 1910, reverted to Private at own request; 6th June 19011, appointed Lance Corporal; 21st February 1912, appointed paid Lance Corporal; 29th April 1912, awarded 3rd Class Certificate of Education; 7th February 1914, transferred to Army Reserve with his consent; 5th August 1914, mobilized; 6th August 1914, posted 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 8th September 1914, deprived of Lance Stripe; 12th October 1914, shell wound, hand.
10th July 1915, discharged as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds Silver War Badge issued.
