25th January 1915, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 29th June 1915, posted BEF & 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 28th January 1916, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 18th February 1916 to 7th March 1916, Military Hospital, Hampstead, VDH, mitral incompetence, pain & shortness of breath.
28th March 1916, discharged as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to sickness Silver War Badge issued.
Pension, 4/8 a week for 6 months, conditional.
