Enlisted 11th October 1915, Dartford, Kent, age 19, height 5ft 6½ inches, resided 39 Ripley Road, Belvedere, Kent. Formerly coach painter.

Son of William Pemberton, 9 Ripley Road, Belvedere, Kent.

Home, 11th October 1915 to 2nd May 1916; BEF, 3rd May 1916 to 18th October 1916; Home, 19th October 1916 to 25th July 1917.

11th October 1915, enlisted & posted 11th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 3rd May 1916, posted BEF; 19th September 1916, wounded; 19th October 1916, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 1st June 1917 to 5th July 1917, The King George Hospital, London, from Queen Mary's Convalescent Hospital, Roehampton, gun shot wound, amputated right arm,  artificial limb supplied.

25th July 1917, discharged  as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds Silver War Badge issued.

Pension 27/6 a week for 13 weeks to be reviewed.
