Son of Francis Harriet Roberts, 73 Coopers Road, Perry Street, Northfleet, Kent. Brother - Richard Roberts, address not known. Sisters - Ellen Cox, Tooley Street, Northfleet, Kent; Ethel Roberts, 82 Darnley? Street, Gravesend, Kent.

Home, 12th February 1908 to 1st December 1908; India, 2nd December 1908 to 31st January 1915; Indian Expeditionary Force "D", 1st February 1915 to 15th September 1915; India, 16th September 1915 to 9th October 1915; Home, 10th October 1915 to 28th January 1916.

12th February 1908, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 3rd June 1908, posted 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 23rd December 1908, posted 2nd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 14th July 1915, wounded; 29th July 1915, Basra, admitted to hospital, gun shot wound face; 24th August 1915, discharged from Hospital; 28th August 1915, Basra, admitted to Hospital, VDH mitral; 16th September 1915, transferred to India per Hospital Transport "Loyalty".

28th January 1916, discharged  as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds Silver War Badge issued.
