Home, 12th June 1903 to 5th April 1904; Malta, 6th April 1904 to 27th December 1906; Home, 28th December 1906 to 30th October 1907; Singapore, 31st October 1907 to 6th December 1908; India, 7th December 1908 to 26th January 1911; Home, 27th January 1911 to 13th August 1914; BEF, 14th August 1914 to 2nd December 1918; Home, 3rd December 1918 to 4th March 1919.
12th June 1903, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 16th October 1903, posted 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 31st May 1905, permitted to extend his service to complete 8 years with the colours; 7th May 1906, appointed Lance Corporal; 30th January 1907, resigns Lance strip, at own request; 31st October 1907, posted 2nd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 25th March 1911, transferred to Army Reserve with his consent; 5th August 1914, mobilized; 6th August 1914, posted 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 23rd August 1914, "missing", Prisoner of War, Germany, wounded, gun shot wound shoulder; 3rd December 1918, repatriated Ireland; 3rd December 1918, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment.
4th March 1919, discharged as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds Silver War Badge issued.
