22nd May 1915, enlisted into 3/1st Highland Field Ambulance, RAMC, 2140; 7th February 1916, transferred to Army Service Corps, 293031; 21st June 1917, transferred to 3rd Battalion,  Royal West Kent Regiment; 6th October 1917, wounded, gun shot wound, right hand.

9th March 1918, discharged  as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds Silver War Badge issued.

Pension, 27/6 a week for 4 weeks, then 8/3 a week for 35 weeks.
