Enlisted 15th November 1915, Dartford, Kent, age 30, height 5ft 6 inches, resided 62 Carlisle Road, Dartford, Kent. Formerly carpenters labourer.

Husband of Ethel Florence Page, ( nee Ayling, spinster), married 14th November 1915, Dartford, Kent. Allotment of 6d a day to wife.

Home, 15th November 1915 to 14th April 1916; BEF, 15th April 1916 to 19th July 1916; Home, 20th July 1916 to 13th June 1917.

15th November 1915, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 19th November 1915, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 20th December 1915, Chatham, whilst on active service, having a rusty bayonet on 8.45am Parade, 3 days confined to Barracks; 15th April 1916, posted BEF & 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 20th July 1916, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 30th March 1917 to 24th May 1917, The King George Hospital, London, SE, gun shot wound left thigh, amputated from hip, artificial limb supplied. 

13th June 1917, discharged  as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds Silver War Badge issued.

Pension, 27/6 a week for 9 weeks, then 19/3 a week for life.
